In the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (Clinic Director Dr med Angelo Bernardon), children and adolescents up to the age of 18 are treated. The integrated treatment offer of the clinic includes an outpatient area with a central outpatient clinic as well as four outpatient clinics distributed across the canton, a consultation and liaison service, and an inpatient area with an acute ward, two psychotherapy wards, a day clinic and a clinic school. The teams consist of clinical professionals from the fields of medicine, psychology, nursing and social pedagogy, and in the clinic school, teachers and special needs educators. The Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy is a teaching hospital of the University of Zurich and a certified training centre Category A.

Profile

• You have a completed degree in psychology and are already in advanced psychotherapy training or have ideally already completed it
• You have at least one year of clinical experience in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and bring professional experience in therapeutic work with patients and their systems
• You are characterised by high social competence, initiative, good communication skills, flexibility and resilience
• You work with joy and interest in an interdisciplinary team
• You have the ability not to lose overview even in dynamic situations and to maintain a professional attitude in the face of challenges

Tasks

• You conduct clinical initial assessments of children and adolescents, manage cases within outpatient primary care and take on emergency duty during regular working hours as well as about once a month (Monday-Thursday) in the evening
• You work in an interdisciplinary team of the outpatient clinic according to institutional objectives
• You are responsible for child and adolescent psychiatric and psychotherapeutic assessments and treatments
• You make diagnoses and assessments according to the valid diagnostic scheme and develop a measure plan based on this
• Psychotherapies and crisis interventions are carried out according to professionally established methods and in consultation with the outpatient clinic management under the final responsibility of the specialist doctor
• You prepare the necessary treatment documentation and specialist reports and fully invoice the services provided
