The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In the acute somatic nursing area under the direction of Ms Dagmar Steinle, we are looking for a specialist responsible for intensive care with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to start immediately or by arrangement, with a workload of 50-100%.
Attractive tasks
- Nursing specialist responsibility for the intensive care unit with six nursing beds, including two ventilated beds
- Responsibility for patients requiring intensive care with varying complex health impairments, taking into account the nursing and treatment concept
- Active participation in the professional development of the intensive care unit by creating evidence-based standards and nursing concepts in an interprofessional setting
- Competent collaboration with doctors from various specialties
- Support of nursing professionals in demanding care situations and in the implementation of overarching concepts and standards
- Responsible for quality work in the intensive care unit and participation in the quality group under the direction of nursing development
- Participation in working and project groups in consultation with the intensive care unit team management
That is why we want you
- You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or even a Master in Nursing
- As basic training, you have completed training as a Dipl. Expert NDS Intensive Care or hold a foreign qualification as a health and nursing nurse with further training in intensive and anaesthesia care
- You like to take responsibility and enjoy shaping new processes
- Professional experience in a similar role is desirable
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- You demonstrate pronounced teamwork skills and maintain a patient-oriented working style
- You show a high level of commitment and responsibly advocate for the well-being of patients
- You enjoy working in a small, dedicated, reliable and motivated team
