Product Manager / Strategic Buyer Pipes (m/f) 100%

Your tasks

• Responsibility for product management / strategic purchasing of the steel pipes product area
• Analysis of requirements and planning of procurement campaigns
• Negotiation of prices, conditions, and contracts with suppliers as well as maintenance and expansion of supplier relationships
• Implementation of procurement strategies and further development of the efficient supplier base
• Sustainable cost optimisation through the application of various purchasing methods such as benchmarks, value analyses, and the development of new procurement sources
• Identification and implementation of improvement potentials as well as problem-solving in conflicts regarding delivery dates, costs, or quality
• Close cooperation with the Head of Procurement, the sales team, and logistics

Your qualities

• Several years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally in steel trading
• Supply chain experience in Asia
• Completed commercial training with corresponding business management further education
• Strong goal orientation, negotiation skills, initiative, and commitment
• Confident and reliable manner as well as analytical, solution-oriented thinking
• Fluent German skills, good English skills in spoken and written form, additional foreign language skills are an advantage
• Confident handling of MS Office, knowledge of SAP MM is an advantage
