About the job
Stein am Rhein is picturesquely located at the transition of the Untersee into the Rhine. The medieval town, the nearby vineyards, and the proximity to the water give the place a very special, inspiring atmosphere.
The primary school in Stein am Rhein is a public elementary school for over 270 students. The educational well-being is ensured by a school management, a school social worker, 53 teachers, as well as specialists in school remedial education and classroom assistants.
In cooperation with the canton, we offer an internship in kindergarten for one semester in the 1st semester of the 2026-2027 school year.

Our job description
- Support in caring for the children: e.g., helping with dressing/undressing, snack time, free play...
- Support in organizing the teachers: e.g., preparing materials and assisting on excursions
- Observing and reporting children's behavioral development to the teachers
We expect from you
- a minimum age of 16 years
- attendance at the Schaffhausen vocational school (or equivalent)
