Doctor working from home with a focus on weekend shifts (m/f/d)
Workload: 50-80%
Work location: Home office in Switzerland or Germany, or in our offices in Allschwil/Basel
Those who treat patients remotely at Medgate receive intensive training in telemedicine at the start. The medical guidelines developed specifically for the needs of telemedicine and continuously refined over the years are practical and designed for remote treatment. The patient management system supports doctors, among other things, through the use of artificial intelligence in treatment. This means doctors have less administrative work and can focus more specifically on the patients. The medicine of the future is already a reality at Medgate.
With flexible working models and reliable shift planning, Medgate allows an optimal combination of work, leisure, and family life.
What we can offer you
- You independently treat Medgate Switzerland patients as a telemedicine doctor especially on weekends.
- You communicate with patients by phone, video, or chat.
- Our telemedical guidelines support you in final therapy or triage to physical service providers – 50% of all medical concerns are conclusively treated.
- A workload suitable for your current life phase between 50 and 80%.
- A working week limited to 42 hours (at 100% workload) which you can help shape with your work and free time preferences.
- There are no overtime hours with us. If additional shifts are needed, colleagues who can take on extra shifts volunteer.
- You receive at least 5 weeks of paid holiday as well as attractive remuneration and bonuses.
- You can easily work from home and thus save unnecessary travel time in an already busy daily routine: home office from Germany and Switzerland is possible. Office locations in Basel/Allschwil (CH) and Chiasso (CH) are available.
- Diverse (interdisciplinary) internal and external training opportunities.
- At Medgate, telemedicine is a distinct discipline, which is why we train you as a telemedicine doctor at the start of your employment. All new employees receive intensive onboarding. For this reason, Medgate offers long-term career prospects and development opportunities rather than just a short-term interim solution.
Your profile
- You are a doctor: completed medical studies with a medical diploma as well as specialist title in general internal medicine or at least 2 years of experience in general medicine.
- If you already have MEBEKO recognition, we are pleased – if not, we will gladly take care of it together with you.
- You prefer a contemporary working environment: with us, there are flat hierarchies and everyone is on a first-name basis.
- You are digitally savvy and enthusiastic about technology: for us, the computer is not just a means to an end but a colleague who enables us to connect with our patients and makes tedious administrative work as simple as possible.
- You are strong in communication and listening: telemedicine doctors see with their ears and develop a sharp picture of their counterpart through targeted questions.
- You have very good German skills and preferably also foreign language skills in Italian, French, or English.
- You like structured and independent work: we have perfected telemedicine over the past 26 years and are happy to show you how we achieve the best possible treatment through a structured approach. However, you do not have to work through pre-made question catalogues or follow decision trees.
* In the case of equal suitability, candidates with multiple languages have an advantage and may be preferred.
