- Actively contribute to the development of the business base.
- Develop a perfect knowledge of your client portfolio through listening and the management and analysis tools provided.
- Manage risks for the bank and clients and act in compliance with the rules.
THE ADVANTAGES OF THE JOB
My work consists of supporting small businesses, including VSBs, craftsmen, shopkeepers, and liberal professions, in absolutely all aspects of the relationship. So, this includes helping them with financing, also with payment terminals like POS systems, but not only that. We also do a lot of protection and insurance, such as premises insurance. And my job is really to help them develop their company.
My clients are very diverse, so no day is the same, which constantly challenges me on completely different topics and also allows us to position ourselves as experts on absolutely all aspects of the client relationship. And that is a huge advantage at SG.
The key skill to be a professional client advisor is really to enjoy client relations, as we are in contact with them every day and must do our utmost to satisfy them. And on top of that, it is very rewarding on a personal level.
When I joined SG, I was very pleasantly surprised by the training offered. At the start of my position, I had some difficulties with a particular subject, which was insurance. So I spoke to my manager who invited a specialist on the subject to train me. And I really found it great to be able to rely on the managerial side and the training offered by the group.
My first client at SG, I will always remember, was an Iranian caterer who needed financing to carry out work in his new premises. And I managed to obtain the financing for him. As a thank you, he invited me to see the final result in his premises. The little cherry on the cake was that I was able to attend the arrival of the first clients in this commercial space where the result was really very beautiful. And all this makes us realise that we are useful every day for our clients.
Even though I travel a lot to see my clients, I still work in the branch and so I have all my colleagues there with me. This allows us to share little tips on client files while respecting confidentiality, of course. It also allows us to have a very good working atmosphere by having lunches together.
At SG, we have many benefits, including profit-sharing and incentive bonuses, as well as a Works Council, which is very pleasant. And the big plus of working in a branch is that we have fixed hours, so for organising personal and professional life, it is much more convenient.
