About the job
To relieve traffic in the centres of Dietikon and Schlieren, motorised individual traffic (MIV) must increasingly be directed via Bernstrasse. With the expansion of the three traffic light systems No. 169, 170 and 171 respectively the new construction of traffic light system No. 283, the MIV could be appropriately controlled and the cycle traffic routing adapted to the new situation. The newly built traffic light system No. 283 is located in the area of the SBB; special solutions were required for the connections of the detection devices. For the coordinated operation of the four traffic light systems, coordination plans were created for the axes Zürcher- and Bernstrasse. Public transport is prioritised through the junction. The work was carried out under full closure while maintaining two-way traffic. A detailed traffic routing concept was created and implemented for all construction phases.
