Author for Teaching Material Development (m/f/d) – Remote

The SWS Schools for Business and Languages with locations in Winterthur and Lucerne are looking for committed authors who would like to develop new, school-specific teaching materials for various subjects together with us.

Assignments are awarded on an ongoing basis and can be completed entirely remotely and location-independently. The teaching materials are divided into thematic packages. A package comprises one or more related teaching materials and is generally awarded as a complete package to one author.

Your task

You will develop a new, independent, and practice-oriented teaching material for one or more of our subject areas. We provide you with the necessary learning content and content guidelines. Existing teaching materials show the professional framework to be covered.

A professionally correct, understandable, and clearly structured teaching material with a table of contents and sources, uniform formatting, as well as suitable exercises, tasks, and solutions, if applicable, is expected. The implementation or organisation of illustrations, graphics, and tables is also part of the assignment.

Your profile

• Completed degree or comparable qualification
• Profound expertise in the respective field
• Fluent German at native speaker level
• Structured, careful, and independent working style
• Ability to prepare technical content in an understandable and practice-oriented manner
• Ideally teaching or lecturing experience
• Ideally experience in writing longer texts, e.g. theses, scripts, teaching materials, specialist texts or books
• Knowledge in creating or preparing graphics and illustrations is an advantage

You do not need to have written a textbook yet. What matters is your professional competence and your ability to prepare extensive content clearly and structured.

Remuneration

We offer a long-term remuneration model with a guaranteed annual minimum payment for five years as well as a lifelong percentage royalty on the revenue of the respective teaching material.

The exact remuneration depends on the respective teaching material and will be discussed personally.
