Güdel AG, based in Langenthal (Switzerland, Canton Bern), is an internationally active Swiss industrial company specialising in engineering and manufacturing linear and drive components. The company builds, among other things, automatic production lines, linear guides, racks, pinions, gearboxes, linear axes, and gantry robots for the automotive industry, railways, intralogistics, metal, tyres, pharmaceuticals, as well as systems for the aircraft industry.
Manager Accounting (m/f/d)
As Manager Accounting, you will take on a central role in the financial management of Güdel AG and specifically develop accounting, processes, and the team in an international environment.
Your contribution
- Professional and personnel leadership as well as targeted development of the three-person accounting team
- Responsibility for bookkeeping, monthly and annual financial statements of several group companies in Switzerland and abroad according to OR, Swiss GAAP FER, and local accounting standards
- Ensuring timely reporting to the group and management as well as correct intercompany reconciliations
- Coordination of local accounting, VAT, and tax processes in cooperation with external partners
- Support in treasury management, especially in liquidity planning, dunning, and bank guarantees
- Coordination, control, and documentation of the internal control system
- Support for international locations on accounting-specific issues
Your skills and talents
- Professional certificate in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification or further training
- Several years of accounting experience in an internationally active company with a group structure, ideally in the industrial, machinery, or plant engineering sector
- Confidence in financial statement preparation according to OR and Swiss GAAP FER as well as sound knowledge of VAT, tax, and closing processes
- Leadership experience and enthusiasm for targeted promotion and development of employees
- Very good knowledge of SAP FI and Excel; SAP CO/PS as well as MM/SD are advantageous
- High IT affinity and interest in digital tools and process optimisation
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
