The city of Thun offers comprehensive day schools and ensures care before and after classes for all kindergarten and school children. The day schools are organized as part of the Thun public school system.

Especially exciting: The Hohmad day school will be newly opened in summer 2026. You will be involved from the start and actively shape the development and culture of the day school – in close cooperation with the site management.

For our Hohmad and Schönau day schools, we are looking for a warm, committed personality as of August 1, 2026

• Care and individual support of full-day school children (1st kindergarten to 3rd grade)
• First contact person during the day for employees, weekly place children, teachers, and parents
• You coordinate the daily routine and keep an overview
• You ensure smooth operations on site
• You work closely with the site management and day school management

• Completed pedagogical training (FaBe K or social pedagogy)
• Several years of professional experience in the pedagogical or social pedagogical field
• Enjoy working with children of different ages
• You are willing to take responsibility and make decisions
• You work in a structured, reliable manner and keep an overview even in lively situations
• You are a team player, strong in communication, and confident in interactions with parents and teachers

• Permanent employment (working hours: Mon+Thu 11:45 – 18:30 Hohmad day school, Fri 11:45 – 17:50 Schönau day school)
• You take on a meaningful activity with scope for design
• You actively participate in building a new day school
