Med. Tech. Sleep Assistant

The University Clinic for Neurology diagnoses and treats people with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems, neuromuscular transmission, and muscles. As part of the Neuro medical department, Neurology is one of the three main strategic focuses of the Insel Group Bern and is the largest neurological clinic in Switzerland. The Sleep-Wake-Epilepsy Centre (SWEZ) belongs to the University Clinic for Neurology and is professionally interdisciplinary managed jointly by Neurology, Pneumology, Psychiatry, and Paediatrics. Research projects of the SWEZ are conducted, among others, at NeuroTec in the newly built sitem-insel AG.

What to expect

• You are responsible for conducting 2 polysomnographies during one and/or two nights per week
• You will receive the patients, prepare the examination, carry out the entire night examinations and certain preliminary analyses, and discharge the patients the next morning
• You monitor the patients as well as the recordings throughout the night, ensuring a high-quality examination both in human and technical terms
• Free nights on Wednesday and Saturday nights

What you bring

• A qualification as a Medical Practice Assistant or Health Specialist EFZ is required
• You enjoy working independently, are meticulous, communicative, open to new things, and keep an overview even in hectic times
• A flair for technology is essential
• Good spoken German skills complete your profile
• Foreign language skills and/or experience with EEG are advantageous
