Endowed with a vast forest heritage and a mountainous territory, our Municipality benefits from a natural environment of great richness, the maintenance and management of which constitute an essential mission of the Forestry Service.
In order to fill a position, the Municipality of Bex is advertising a vacancy for:
Forester-Lumberjack at 100%
Your main duties:
- Carry out work related to wood production (logging, skidding);
- Perform work related to the production of value-added wood (firewood production);
- Maintain mountain roads and lowland and high-altitude footpaths;
- Apply silvicultural treatments to lowland and high-altitude forests;
- Collaborate with other municipal services.
Desired profile:
- Holder of a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as forester-lumberjack;
- Five years’ experience in a similar position is an asset;
- Holder of a driving licence with trailer;
- Holder of a machine operator’s licence and/or several years’ experience with forestry machinery;
- Be in good health and enjoy excellent physical condition.
Special conditions:
- Reside in Bex or the immediate surroundings to ensure on-call services;
- Be available and flexible.
