Consultant and Teacher of Organic Farming
Plantahof | 50-70% | Landquart
The Plantahof is a service of the Department of Public Economy and Social Affairs and is the competence centre for agricultural training and consultancy in the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to the basic vocational school in agriculture, Plantahof offers various continuing education cycles, professional development courses and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consultancy and the transfer of specialist knowledge in favour of Graubünden and Glarus agricultural and alpine farms and other circles concerned with agricultural issues. For these purposes, it also operates its own agricultural and experimental farm at four different locations together with two farm shops. In addition, it has a conference centre with boarding facilities, an auditorium and a canteen.
To strengthen the plant production section in the consultancy sector, we are looking for a consultant and teacher for the organic farming sector from 1 September 2026 or by agreement.
- Specialist consultancy in the field of organic farming in the Cantons of Graubünden and Glarus
- Specific teaching of organic farming in basic training and advanced training cycles
- Consultancy and development of the Plantahof organic farms
- Participation in the Bio Grischun steering committee and related consultancy
- Networking with bodies and commissions of cantonal and national organic farming
- Additional tasks within the framework of the Climate-Neutral Agriculture project for Graubünden as well as the Plantahof climate strategy
- Degree (bachelor or master) in agronomy or equivalent training
- Additional qualification as a teacher and consultant (further studies in training and consultancy)
- Attitude and knowledge in the field of organic farming as well as in the climate sector
- Experience in consultancy and professional development
- Ability to work in a team, reliability and openness
- Willingness to take on a responsible role as a contact person for the topic of organic farming
- The working language is generally German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
