Heinz Achermann New Head of Private Banking

There is a change at the top of the "Private Banking" department at NKB. The current head, Roland Christen, is leaving NKB after many years of commitment to take on a new challenge. Nicole Lüthy, Head of Private Clients and member of the Executive Board, regrets this decision but can also understand it: "Roland Christen has been with NKB for over 25 years and has achieved great things during all those years. I can understand that he is looking for a change again and is taking on a new challenge. We sincerely thank him for his great commitment to our bank and wish him all the best for the future."

Heinz Achermann is taking over the management of Private Banking. Heinz Achermann grew up in Nidwalden and lives with his family in Buochs. He worked for a major bank for around 28 years. He is considered an expert in private banking and has spent recent years advising entrepreneurs and executive board members (E&E). Heinz Achermann has completed various advanced training courses in finance, including a MAS degree in Corporate Finance. "I am pleased to be working again in my home canton after many years," says Heinz Achermann. "NKB, as a locally anchored bank, is very close to the people and shows great commitment to the canton. I am very pleased that I can now also contribute to this." Heinz Achermann takes over operational management as of 1 July 2018.
