At our Cargo Logistics Centre Burgdorf, you are part of a family of 120 people. In the heart of the canton of Bern, you can expect generous infrastructure, modern work equipment, and a collegial atmosphere with drive.
Your tasks
- Operational and professional management of the transport department with around 80 employees
- Monitoring critical success factors according to profitability and quality criteria
- Management of the corresponding controlling
- Reporting to the branch manager / transport manager Switzerland
- Planning and ensuring the necessary personnel and vehicle resources including vehicle maintenance
- Ensuring successful communication management within the transport department
- Successful collaboration with the heads of HR, sales, logistics, and transshipment departments
- Implementation of projects
- Monitoring compliance with statutory working time, holiday, and absence regulations
Your profile
- Completed vocational training as well as further education in leadership, transport/logistics or a comparable qualification is mandatory
- Several years of professional experience
- Dynamic personality with professional experience in transport (dispatch and administration)
- Strong leadership skills and enjoyment in leading and developing employees
- Organisational talent as well as independent and structured working style
- High flexibility and resilience in a dynamic transport environment
- Very good oral and written expression in German (min. C2)
- French language skills are an advantage
- Good PC skills in MS Office / SAP are an advantage
