The team at the Centre for Geriatric Psychiatry in Lenggasshüüs cares for people with disorders from the entire spectrum of psychiatry who require extensive psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment. The centre has a 24-hour emergency admission obligation for geriatric psychiatry and is run in a protected and open manner. Patients and staff benefit from modern infrastructure tailored to the needs of older people. The service mandate is based on the latest scientific findings in an individually defined treatment and care process. Psychosocial reintegration is regarded as a primary treatment goal.
Your tasks
- Independent care of assigned patients with full case responsibility under specialist supervision
- Conducting psychiatric examinations and preparing reports
- Diagnostic clarification including development of diagnoses and differential diagnoses
- Initiation and interpretation of neuropsychological and test psychological additional examinations
- Planning and coordination of individual treatment and therapy concepts
- Psychotherapeutic indication and participation in determining appropriate therapy forms
- Conducting psychotherapeutic treatments under supervision
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
Our expectations
- Medical diploma recognised in Switzerland (MEBEKO)
- Started psychotherapy training desirable
- Experience in diagnosis and treatment of psychological and medical conditions advantageous
- Beginners or those from other specialties with high willingness to learn and interest in the field welcome
