Solution Advisor Procurement (f/m/d) SAP Finance and Spend Management

We're excited to expand our SAP Solution Advisory team, which is dedicated to servicing the Middle and Eastern European region, particularly Switzerland. We're on the hunt for talented individuals experienced in SAP Spend Management solutions, including SAP Ariba.

This role will be part of the Finance & Spend Line of Business. It will be responsible for driving business transformations in SAP Cloud ERP, Procurement, Travel & Expense, Finance & Q2C, thereby addressing the business stakeholders’ CPO and CFO.

In your role as a SAP Solution Advisor, your ultimate goal is to steer conversations with prospective customers toward successful deal closings. You will serve as a domain expert in procurement business processes. You will map these processes with SAP solutions like SAP Ariba and SAP Business Network. Through direct interaction with prospective clients and partners, you will demonstrate SAP solutions and provide expert advice regarding business outcomes and the value they gain.

Typical day-to-day activities will include:

• Assessing customer priorities and transformation strategies in discovery conversations.
• Collaborating with the wider Sales Team to develop a winning sales strategy.
• Translating business requirements into solutions for our customers.
• Composing and delivering superior sales presentations and demonstrations covering SAP procurement value proposition and software solutions to prospective customer audiences. These presentations should articulate the sales message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression on audiences, including senior company executives.
• Responding to RfX inquiries within set deadlines in cooperation with the global RfX Center of Excellence.
• Involving partners in opportunities and supporting them to sell effectively.
• Acting as a “solution captain” for deals that require complex solutions and multiple expert contributors.
• Providing limited post-sale support, such as innovation presentations and best practices.
• Supporting one-to-many sales and marketing events.
• Collaborating with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at accounts.
• Maintaining a high-level knowledge of SAP’s procurement/supply chain solution suite in your area of responsibility.
• Understanding key competitors and ensuring local team members leverage SAP’s unique value propositions in every customer interaction.
• Delivering high-volume, short-duration work packages.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, and an advanced degree, such as a Master's, MBA, or PhD, is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, procurement excellence, or customer-facing roles such as consulting, presales, or product/solution management.
• Experience with end-to-end processes/solution matching and IT architectures, preferably in procurement and/or supply chain management, is a plus.

Skills

• Solid understanding of business processes in procurement and supply chain (source to pay).
• Experience with SAP Spend Management (Ariba / Fieldglass) and Business Network or competitor products. Knowledge of SAP ERP expertise is a plus.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal and team skills at all levels and in multi-cultural environments.
• Proficiency in German and English at a business fluency level is essential for advising our clients; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
