What you can achieve
• Independent administration, modification and configuration of network components, connected complex air traffic control communication systems, firewalls, storage systems
• Troubleshooting and regular maintenance of military air traffic control systems at various locations in Switzerland
• Installations and commissioning of system modifications and expansions (Change Management)
• Planning and execution of preventive maintenance to ensure system and service availability
• Participation in projects for system installations and integrations
• Creation and updating of system documentation and training materials for internal and external purposes
• Further training in the area of responsibility, general IT and defence technology
What you bring with you
• Degree in computer science, ideally with ICT-specific further education (e.g. FH level)
• At least 5+ years of experience in the network field, at least Cisco CCNA level or equivalent knowledge in routing and switching, network technology
• Firewall and security knowledge with practical experience in configuration and commissioning
• CCSA or CCSE certification is an advantage
• Practical experience with Cisco and Check Point Maestro product families
• Knowledge of storage systems and experience with virtualisation is an advantage
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking with initiative and assertiveness
• Communicative, committed and reliable team player with a strong service and customer orientation
• Very good German skills, good English skills (B2); French skills are an advantage
• Willingness to work on-call duty, standby and irregular working hours if required (driving licence B necessary)
