Assistant in Agricultural Sociology (50%)

About the job

• Work on the societal and social aspects of agriculture including alpine farming
• Support the lecturers in teaching in the field of agricultural sociology
• Collaborate in ongoing and future research projects Agricultural Sociology | BFH
• We recommend completing a Master’s degree at HAFL alongside the position and possibly writing a Master’s thesis on a topic within the research group

• Completed Bachelor’s degree (University of Applied Sciences, University or ETH) in Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Agronomy or a related field
• Experience in the field of agriculture (studies, internship, family background etc.)
• Experience in social science methodology and possibly agricultural sociology
• Curiosity and motivation to work in a small team on various, often interdisciplinary topics
• Preferably native French speaker with good knowledge of German

• Many contacts with young, eager people from all over the world who want to achieve something.
• Curiosity is required, and not in small amounts. Also a lot of independence and personal responsibility.
• Responsibility in exciting future projects that attract attention beyond the specialist community.
• Exciting, responsible tasks even with part-time work and re-entry.
