The Herzogenbuchsee school combines kindergarten and primary school in the centre of Oberaargau. Thanks to its location on the important traffic axis between Bern and Olten, it is easily accessible and cares for children from Herzogenbuchsee and Niederönz from kindergarten to 6th grade. Currently, around 760 pupils attend the five school and kindergarten locations, where they are supported by a dedicated and versatile team of teachers. In addition to regular lessons, the school also organises speech therapy and psychomotor skills offerings for the surrounding schools in the region.

Tasks
For two of our 5th/6th grade classes, we are looking for a committed subject teacher from 1 March 2027. The teaching includes the subjects German, Mathematics, French, English, NMG, Physical Education and Sports as well as technical and textile design (TTG) in parallel classes. About half of the lessons take place in team teaching, half-class teaching or in cooperation with a special education teacher. The working days are Monday to Thursday. The employment is planned from 1 March 2027 to 31 July 2027, with the option of extension or a permanent position from 1 August 2027.
Requirements
- You have training as a Cycle 2 teacher or are completing it
- You enjoy working in a team and communicate on equal terms with teachers and parents
