Job Description
As Head of the Regional Governance Unit for Information Security and Data Protection Switzerland, you are part of our global governance network of experts on information security and data protection. You have a comprehensive overview of the general and specific data protection requirements of our organisation, especially regarding the new Swiss Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Among other tasks, the following are part of your role:
- You take on the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the Bosch Group in Switzerland.
- You update and maintain the regional policies for information security and data protection. In doing so, you closely monitor business changes and legislative developments, particularly with regard to the Swiss Data Protection Act (DPA) and the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO).
- You standardise and define the daily governance processes, create central management templates, and provide professional data protection guidelines to the responsible teams.
- You organise and conduct internal information security and data protection audits, track corrective actions, and ensure the full implementation of corrective measures as well as the closure of risks.
- You are responsible for the introduction and implementation of target group-specific awareness and training concepts within the Bosch Group, focusing on the requirements of Swiss data protection.
- You actively shape the future of our work processes by defining, documenting, and successfully implementing procedures. You always ensure the integration of privacy-friendly default settings ("Privacy by Design" and "Privacy by Default") according to the DPA.
- The creation and maintenance of all relevant data protection documentation also fall within your area of responsibility.
- You exchange information with the global DPO team of the Bosch Group and ensure that local legislation is complied with internationally during collaboration.
Qualifications
Education: completed university degree in law or a comparable course of study with a focus on Swiss data protection laws, knowledge of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and several years of experience in information security and data protection
Personality and working style: team player, confident and friendly demeanour, independent working style, analytical thinking, high solution and customer orientation, willingness to travel
Experience and know-how: good IT skills (especially MS Office), strong IT affinity, ISO27001 Lead Auditor certification, CISSP certification advantageous
Languages: good German and English skills are a must, French advantageous
