Your new role
As a Project Engineer, you will be involved in the planning and realisation of waste-to-energy plants in Switzerland as well as international projects. In addition to waste-to-energy projects, you will also work on district heating projects, energy centres, and other varied and challenging tasks. Your daily work offers great creative freedom and you will take on comprehensive responsibility. You can always rely on the support of experts in Zurich and the global Ramboll network.
Your main tasks will be as follows:
- You will work closely with project management and support the realisation of projects supplying Swiss cities with renewable energy and waste utilisation.
- You will participate in feasibility studies, independently develop the corresponding foundations, and represent these to clients.
- In optimisation and modernisation projects, you will develop possible optimisation concepts and assess them from an economic perspective. Afterwards, as part of the project team, you will be responsible for execution until handover to the client.
- In new build projects, you will be independently responsible for the design and handling of subsystems of the overall plant. You will be accountable for these within the overall project and coordinate the services with various Ramboll specialists.

To get started with us, you should bring the following qualifications:
- You have a university degree (FH or ETH), preferably in mechanical engineering or environmental engineering
- You have in-depth knowledge in process engineering and process design
- You have several years of professional experience in the planning and design of energy or process engineering plants.
- You are interested in working in the field of environment and climate protection
- You think and act entrepreneurially, proactively, and customer-oriented
- You have excellent German language skills
