About the job

Landenhof is a leading centre of expertise for the training and support of people with hearing and visual impairments in the canton of Aargau. The centre includes the day special school for Hearing and Vision with a weekly boarding facility, the audiopedagogical service with the support centre for grammar school/middle school, the paedaudiological and visiopaedagogical service, the counselling service for hard of hearing and deaf people in Aargau Solothurn, the Aargau visual aid service, as well as supporting services.

For the targeted expansion and sustainable further development of the Vision sector, we are seeking an experienced professional with expert status. The newly created key position combines strategic responsibility with professional expertise and offers the unique opportunity to significantly shape and further develop the Vision sector at Landenhof.

The focus is on planning and implementing the target group expansion Vision Plus as well as blindness at the day special school for Vision. Building on this, the position includes the further development and strengthening of the Vision specialist area as well as the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration.

The aim of this newly created position is to strategically and professionally expand and sustainably further develop the Vision sector at Landenhof.

The core task initially involves planning and implementing the target group expansion Vision Plus+ as well as blindness at the day special school for Vision. Building on this, the position includes the further development and strengthening of the Vision specialist area as well as the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Your tasks

Overall responsibility for the further development of the Vision sector: day special school, visiopaedagogical service and Aargau visual aid service

Conceptualisation and expansion of professional expertise in the field of visual impairment and blindness

Promotion of cross-sector cooperation, specialist centres and universities in Switzerland

Organisation and implementation of further training offers for professionals, teams and employees at Landenhof

Your profile

Master’s degree in remedial or special education or equivalent qualification

Further training as a rehabilitation expert for people with visual impairment and blindness specialising in Low Vision, practical life skills, orientation and mobility,

Experience and/or further training in project management

Systemic attitude and high social competence

Strong willingness to collaborate, open communication
