- The District Court is the cantonal judicial authority of first instance.
Organized into two regional courts and spread over three sites, it consists of the following sections: the conciliation chamber, the civil court, the child and adult protection authority, the juvenile criminal court, the police court, the criminal court, and the coercive measures court.
The Regional Court of the Mountains and Val-de-Ruz located in La Chaux-de-Fonds is recruiting a clerk-editor at 60%.
Your role mainly consists of drafting civil and criminal decisions and judgments to be issued at the end of proceedings conducted by the judges of the Regional Court of the Mountains and Val-de-Ruz.
It also involves case file analysis and legal research, alone or in collaboration with the magistrates.
Furthermore, you will be called upon to perform various tasks related to documentation and case management entrusted to you, particularly in drafting correspondence.
More broadly, all legal assistance tasks related to the work of judges and the registry may be assigned to you.
You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in law, complemented by the lawyer's certificate, and ideally have at least 3 to 5 years of experience as a legal professional (after obtaining the lawyer's certificate), preferably in the judicial field, or any other experience useful for the position.
Recognized for your loyalty and discretion, you are strongly attached to public service values and have a keen sense of responsibility. Able to work independently, you take initiatives within the scope of assigned competencies and are appreciated for both your rigor and versatility. You manage to handle a significant workload while coping with stress, thanks to a strong sense of organization and priority management.

- Very good knowledge of the judicial system and the functioning of public institutions in Neuchâtel.
- Excellent writing skills.

- Mastery of legal German.
- Exemplarity and discretion.
This position also requires having a clean criminal record and debt collection record.
