Internship in vegetable cultivation for students in the agricultural sector available

We are an innovative vegetable growing company in the canton of Zurich, specialising in the cultivation and marketing of fresh vegetables. It is very important to us to actively promote young talent in food production. We strive to share our knowledge and progress together. We offer internships of 2-4 months during the main season from May to October or by arrangement.

What you can expect from us:

The internship plan is tailored individually to your needs. Assignments can be offered in the open field, greenhouse or mixed.

Below is a selection of possible activities:

• Assessing and planting young plants: both mechanically and manually
• Taking and analysing soil samples
• Learning about harvesting techniques and quality aspects
• Insights into irrigation control and climate computers
• Fertilisation
• Pest control and corresponding beneficial organism use
• Machine work (e.g. tractor work such as hoeing, harrowing, etc.)
• Options for digitalisation in vegetable cultivation
• Insights into plot planning, personnel allocation and certification
