The Blue Cross Bern-Solothurn-Freiburg is the leading specialist organisation for addiction issues with the areas of work prevention + health promotion, counselling + therapy as well as integration + enterprises. With around 90 employees and 260 volunteers at 13 locations, we implement diverse offers financed by service contracts from the cantons as well as donations and contributions from institutions and private individuals. We are politically and denominationally independent.

The Perron bleu in Biel is an established, alcohol-free meeting place that serves as a lively social meeting point and offers valuable spaces for social and professional integration.

We are in an exciting phase of realignment. In addition to the gradual development towards a more business-oriented management, a review of the spatial and conceptual orientation is also planned in the medium term. You can actively contribute impulses in this process.

Operations Manager Perron bleu

Area of activity

• Management of the operation according to specifications and principles including budget responsibility
• Operational management: responsibility for the daily catering operation (bistro/restaurant) as well as ensuring a high level of service and product quality
• Responsibility for the meeting point: further development and implementation of the meeting point offer
• Professional and personal leadership of the team as well as targeted promotion of employees
• Main responsibility for the self-monitoring concept (HACCP)
• Co-responsibility for integration including quality assurance (QuaTheDA:2020) and key worker activities
• Management of day-to-day business
• Support in the kitchen including guidance and promotion of clients
• Networking and public relations work as well as administrative and organisational tasks
• Strategic further development

Requirements profile

• Training and/or professional experience in catering
• Professional experience in work pedagogy is an advantage
• Resilience and calm: You radiate stability and security even in times of change and provide orientation to the team.
• Empathy and assertiveness: You maintain a respectful and at the same time clear approach with employees and participants in work integration.
• Strong communication skills: You communicate openly, transparently and on an equal footing, both internally within the team and towards management.
• Flexibility and pragmatism: You have the ability to find pragmatic solutions as the meeting point is in a phase of bridging and realignment.
• Leadership experience is an advantage
