Who are we?
The Fribourg Detention Facility brings together the penitentiary structures of the canton of Fribourg. It has the status of a public law entity and possesses legal personality. It is administratively attached to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport, under the high supervision of the State Council. The Facility ensures the custody, accommodation, care and treatment of detainees entrusted to it and contributes to achieving the objectives assigned to the execution of custodial sentences and measures.

Your tasks
- Ensure a guard service and maintain constant supervision of detainees
- Contribute to the resocialisation of detainees by having a positive influence on them
- Enforce discipline, order and security among detainees
- Apply and enforce the regulations and instructions in force
Desired profile
- Federal VET Diploma, or equivalent training, with several years of professional experience
- Federal certificate of detention officer from the Swiss Competence Centre for the Execution of Penal Sanctions, or willingness to undertake the training
- Good physical and mental condition, as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Sense of human relations, communication and conflict management
- Willingness to work shifts (irregular working hours, including Saturdays and Sundays)
- Willingness to intervene outside working hours in cases of force majeure
- Clean criminal record and debt collection extracts
- Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office)
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
