ICT Infrastructure Engineer with Focus on Core Services & Network

What to expect from us

• You operate and continuously develop security-relevant network services such as firewalls, VPN solutions, web gateways, and DLP systems.
• You take on the professional management of our external network and security service providers. In doing so, you analyse requirements, conduct connection and log analyses, define the necessary changes, and ensure their high-quality implementation.
• You are responsible for the stable operation and continuous development of our central infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows server-based platform services.
• Together with specialist departments and external partners, you provide the necessary server and infrastructure platforms for new applications and accompany them from planning to commissioning.
• You are responsible for the operation, monitoring, and further development of our monitoring and observability solutions, ensuring transparency about the state of our IT platforms.
• You actively participate in infrastructure and transformation projects and contribute your expertise in architecture, automation, and standardisation topics.
• You support internal departments with technical questions and advise them on the use and integration of our infrastructure services.

What you bring with you

• Completed IT training (EFZ, HF, FH or equivalent) or several years of practical experience in the responsible areas of IT infrastructure.
• Solid experience in enterprise networking and IT security, especially with firewalls, VPN technologies, proxy and web gateway solutions.
• Experience working with external service providers and enjoyment in coordinating technical requirements, critically questioning them, and tracking their implementation.
• Good knowledge in operating Windows server infrastructures as well as central basic services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, or group policies.
• Interest in modern infrastructure and cloud technologies, ideally with initial experience in Microsoft Azure.
• Analytical and structured working style as well as enjoyment in understanding technical contexts and developing sustainable solutions.
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills for collaboration with manufacturers and partners.
• Willingness for occasional assignments at our locations in Switzerland and Germany.
