Set course for a voyage of discovery and navigate Lake Lucerne with us as a deckhand from April to October 2027 (hourly wage).
The Lake Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV) Ltd is a subsidiary of SGV Holding Ltd. Its origins date back to 1836. SGV Ltd operates as a licensed, private transport company with a fleet of five historic paddle steamers and 14 motor vessels, transporting nearly 3 million passengers annually on Lake Lucerne.

Your area of responsibility

You will enjoy an extremely varied working environment and be directly at the heart of the action with our customers on the front line. You will competently advise our passengers regarding timetables and exciting excursion opportunities. You will check tickets, sell class upgrade tickets and assist with nautical duties (departure and landing manoeuvres, ship cleaning).
Your career Your nautical career starts as a deckhand. After successfully completing at least one season, you can, if required and suitably qualified, be trained as a cashier.

Requirements

• Completed basic training
• High service orientation and great sense of responsibility
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as oral skills in English and French, additional languages are an advantage
• A high level of communication and conflict resolution skills, flexibility and resilience
• Strong team spirit, independent, customer-oriented and reliable working style
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends
• Minimum height of 1.70m
• Ideally between 19 and 35 years old
• Good physical condition, good swimming skills
