The Skills & SimLab is the central hub for practice-oriented learning. To strengthen our support team, we are looking for a committed professional who enjoys organisation, technology, and working in a dynamic environment.
Department: Health
Start of work: From 1 September 2026 or by arrangement
Would you like to ensure the smooth operation and high-quality preparation of skills and simulation training for all degree programmes in the Department of Health together with your team? In this varied role, you will take on responsible operational and organisational tasks in the Skills & SimLab.
Operation & Organisation
- Management and supervision of the practical rooms at the Winterthur site
- Organisation, coordination and provision of materials, equipment and laundry
- Support with ordering, inventory management and material lending
- Ensuring presence during teaching hours (including fringe hours)
Teaching Support
- Proper preparation and follow-up of skills and simulation training
- Technical and organisational support for teaching staff
- Supervision of simulation technology and audio-video systems
Coordination & Interfaces
- Collaboration with degree programmes, teaching staff, students and service teams
- Participation in departmental tasks (e.g. lost property office, giveaway orders, office material management, operational emergency assistance)
Quality & Further Development
- Ensuring and monitoring quality standards in the Skills & SimLab
- Participation in process optimisation and infrastructure development
You enjoy practical work, keep an overview even in a lively daily routine and have a good technical understanding. The following requirements are central for this role:
Must-have criteria:
- You have basic medical knowledge or are willing to acquire it specifically where your tasks require it
- You organise your work in a structured manner, act reliably and have a quick grasp
- You enjoy working in a team, communicate clearly and service-oriented with different stakeholders and contribute to supportive collaboration
- You are flexible and take on shifts during fringe hours (evenings or Saturdays) if needed
- You handle materials carefully and have a strong quality awareness
- You are physically resilient and actively support room preparations as well as moving materials
Nice-to-have:
- You use digital tools confidently and handle simulation technology, audio-video systems and equipment in the training environment with ease
- You like to contribute to the further development of processes and constructively shape changes
Working hours: You usually distribute your working hours over four days per week. The shifts are based on timetables and the semester schedule and are planned well in advance. Depending on demand, there is the possibility to work more during the semester and compensate during non-teaching periods – especially in summer.
