Building, renewing and maintaining track and railway facilities are core tasks of yoursTo ensure our guests reach their destination safely, a strong railway infrastructure is essential. As a track worker in the railway service team of Wengernalpbahn AG on the Lauterbrunnen - Kleine Scheidegg section, you ensure daily that our track facilities remain in top condition.
Track Worker with Additional Role as Transport Operator
Your responsibilities include- Construction and maintenance work on track and ancillary facilities in the roadway area (e.g. tunnels, supporting structures etc.)
- Operating construction trains
- Surrounding area work, embankment maintenance and snow clearance
- On-call duty at weekends
- Safety service for internal and external construction sites
You have
- a completed vocational training in the construction sector (e.g. civil engineering construction worker EFZ or equivalent qualification)
- good specialist knowledge in construction, preferably in civil engineering / track construction and railway experience is an advantage
- training to operate construction trains B60 or willingness to complete the training
- good physical resilience as well as willingness to work irregular hours (night work, on-call shifts etc.)
