The Zug Cantonal Hospital is dedicated to the health of the population of the Canton of Zug and the surrounding regions. Around 1200 employees, including 180 in training and further education, work in various areas. Every year, we treat and care for over 11,500 inpatients and more than 70,000 outpatients. More than 27,500 people are treated annually in the interdisciplinary emergency centre.For our patient advice service, we are looking for a Social Work Employee for Patients from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Advising patients and their relatives during the hospital stay and regarding discharge
- Organising follow-up solutions after the hospital stay (spa stays, transfers to rehabilitation clinics or care institutions)
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors and nursing staff, as well as close cooperation with external institutions and specialist agencies
Your Profile
- Basic medical-nursing training and professional experience in an acute hospital
- Training as a social worker FH or further education and/or professional experience in the social insurance sector
- Empathetic personality with a strong service orientation and social competence
- You value constructive interdisciplinary collaboration with all hospital departments and our external partners
