Allschwil, with 22,500 inhabitants, is one of the largest municipalities in north-west Switzerland and an innovative suburb of Basel. The proximity to this city shapes Allschwil's character without the municipality losing its independence. Thanks to dynamic development and numerous exciting construction projects, we are looking for a committed individual to strengthen the building construction projects team in the long term, starting immediately or by arrangement.

In this demanding and varied key position, you will take on the client-side project management for new construction, conversion, as well as maintenance and upkeep projects of the municipality of Allschwil. You represent the interests of the client towards users, planners, and contractors and bear responsibility for costs, deadlines, and quality. You will report directly to the head of the building construction group.

Project Manager Building Construction (80-100%)

Your tasks

• Planning and realisation of building construction projects - from the project idea to commissioning

• Client-side project management and coordination in SIA phases 1 to 5

• Preparation of condition analyses, feasibility studies, and decision-making bases

• Independent technical and administrative management of projects

• Support in budgeting and investment planning

• Writing reports, applications, and working documents

• Management, coordination, and control of external planners, specialist planners, and contractors

• Representation of the municipality's interests as owner and capturing the needs of future users

• Ensuring costs, deadlines, and quality within the scope of project management

Your profile

You are an entrepreneurial-minded, committed professional who enjoys challenging construction tasks and has a strong sense of responsibility. You have:

• A completed degree (ETH, FH or equivalent) in architecture, construction management or client representation, or training as a certified building construction site manager or technician in construction planning with a focus on architecture

• At least three years of professional experience as a client representative, in planning and realisation of building construction projects in SIA phases 1 to 6

• Sound knowledge of Swiss construction and planning law

• A confident judgement in urban planning and architectural issues

• A structured, independent, and precise way of working

• High communication skills as well as persuasiveness and assertiveness

• Enjoyment in collaborating with internal and external project partners

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
