About the job
Automation fitters master the necessary assembly, connection, and wiring techniques to build electrical controls and power distributions. Exciting tasks also include e-mobility and photovoltaic systems.
Wiring and testing electrical devices, maintaining operational equipment, and creating the corresponding documentation are, of course, part of the job.
The machinery, electrical, and metal industries are versatile and globally oriented. Basic training as an automation fitter opens up many opportunities both domestically and abroad.
The training lasts three years and concludes with the Federal VET Diploma as an Automation Fitter EFZ.
The workplace is mainly in the workshop but also at the customer’s site. The profession offers variety, exciting projects, and much more. You will acquire practical skills in the company and in inter-company courses. You will also attend vocational school one day per week.
