Short Course Management (Deputy) BK 15 - 80%The General Vocational School Zurich is the centre of expertise for professions in gastronomy and hospitality. In addition, it is responsible for the basic education of various other professions and also offers courses in the continuing education sector. With around 2500 learners and over 100 teachers in 17 different professions, it is one of the larger vocational schools in the canton of Zurich.
From mid-January to mid-July, a deputy is sought for vocational instruction in the profession of Hospitality and Housekeeping EFZ with a workload of around 15 to 80% (4 to 20 lessons) due to individual further training (IWB) and maternity leave. The employment is according to the Secondary School and Vocational School Teacher Ordinance as short course management.
Your tasks
- You teach the subject of vocational studies in Hospitality and Housekeeping at ABZH in the EFZ education programme.
- Depending on the timetable, lessons take place on all school days both in the morning and in the afternoon. The exact workload and deployment times will be agreed upon.
Your profile
- Open-minded, team-oriented and communicative personality with pronounced social skills and high commitment.
- Independent, flexible and reliable working style with strong initiative.
- Completed training as a vocational studies teacher in a part-time capacity is an advantage.
- Specialist certificate as department head in Hospitality and Housekeeping or higher, or completed hotel management school.
- Completed teaching qualification for vocational schools is an advantage.
