About the job
Position: Software Developer Intern (Data Analysis Tools)
Entity: BU Industries & MedTech
Location: Sonceboz-Sombeval, Switzerland
You will contribute to the development of a software tool for monitoring and controlling the product cost price based on data notably from SAP and internal databases.
The developed tool will offer:
· A customisable user interface (reference, period, cost type, etc.);
· Visualisation of cost price trends in the form of graphs and tables;
· Highlighting of cost variances and their origins (purchasing, labour, process, exchange rate, bill of materials changes, quantities, etc.);
· Management of user comments, supporting documents and attachments;
· Customisable automatic alerts according to references and defined thresholds;
· A monitoring dashboard highlighting key costs and the most significant changes (top costs, top changes, etc.).
At the end of the internship, you will have developed:
· A software solution with an intuitive, user-friendly interface deployable on a large scale;
· A robust solution capable of handling various product and process changes (index changes, bill of materials modifications, addition or removal of operations, supplier changes, etc.);
· User and administrator documentation associated with the tool.
· Knowledge in programming and databases;
· Knowledge in web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS);
· Knowledge in Python development;
· Interest in analysing and exploiting technical and industrial data;
· Open-mindedness and autonomy;
· Technical curiosity and analytical mindset.
· Engineering student in the final year of studies (Master’s level or equivalent), specialising in computer science, data science or information systems;
