Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is an authority of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 employees from diverse professions. JuWe is primarily responsible for the enforcement of court judgments and the execution of pre-trial detention. For the employees of the authority, the prevention of recidivism and the successful social reintegration of offenders is of particular importance.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of seven main departments of JuWe. With 399 places, JVA Pöschwies is the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for male offenders. It fulfills a central state task and, according to legal mandate, is responsible for the resocialization of prisoners and the protection of the public.
In the area of Economy and Work, we are looking for a resilient personality with high social competence to lead the cost center Graphics, Printing and Cartonage from October 1, 2025, or by agreement.

Your area of responsibility
- You lead, manage and supervise a work group of prisoners in the areas of graphics, printing and cartonage
- The professional, financial and personnel responsibility for the corresponding cost center lies within your area of responsibility
- Security and supervisory tasks are also part of your daily work
- You ensure the quality of ongoing work and actively participate in daily business
- You manage internal as well as external orders from the offer preparation to timely execution
- In addition, you write reports and assessments about the prisoners deployed and accompany their development
- As a member of the company fire brigade, you provide active service and contribute to safety throughout the operation
Your profile
- You have completed vocational training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) in the graphic industry (prepress, printing or finishing) and ideally have further training as a correctional officer or as a work educator
- You are familiar with business management – ideally from the graphic industry
- You have several years of professional experience as well as initial leadership experience
- Flexibility, teamwork and resilience are among your strengths
- You enjoy working with people and are open to new areas of responsibility
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form are required; additional language skills are an advantage
- Your reputation is impeccable
