As a growing regional centre, Bülach ensures the reliable supply of high-quality drinking water to the population. To guarantee this in the future, we operate and maintain a modern pipeline network with reservoirs, pumping stations, spring catchments and contemporary control technology. The Bülach Water Supply team takes on these exciting tasks and is looking for a committed individual from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement. Your versatile area of responsibility
In this varied role, you support our team in ensuring a reliable drinking water supply. Your main tasks include:
- Operation, inspection and maintenance of wells, pumping stations, reservoirs, etc.
- Operation and monitoring of the control system
- Assistance with the replacement and reading of water meters
- Carrying out planned and unplanned water interruptions and creating temporary solutions
- Taking water samples for quality testing
- Conducting network inspections and leak detection
- On-call duty in a cycle of about six weeks as well as winter service readiness
- Maintenance and inspection of hydrants
What you bring with you
- Completed vocational training (EFZ) in a manual profession
- Interest in drinking water supply and willingness for professional development – ideally you are already a water caretaker
- Driving licence category B
- Residence in Bülach or nearby or willingness to comply with on-call requirements (on site within 30 minutes)
- Independent, reliable and responsible working style
- Team spirit, flexibility and enjoyment of practical work outdoors
- Calm and solution-oriented approach even in unexpected situations
