About the job
The SRG German-speaking Switzerland (SRG.D) is one of the four regional companies of the SRG SSR association, which operates the largest media company in Switzerland. With around 17,000 members, SRG.D anchors the company in society and advocates for the concerns and needs of the population. It accompanies the journalistic work of Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), supports the transformation of SRG SSR, and promotes public discourse on the media public service.
An important role in this context is played by the Audience Council. At the centre of its work is the resonance space – a physical and virtual meeting place where people from different walks of life and opinions come together in dialogue on programme-related topics, also with SRF programme makers. In addition, the Audience Council is the electoral body of the Ombudsman office.
The SRG.D regional board has realigned the Audience Council as of October 2026: more focused in its mandate, with increased leadership responsibility in the presidency and professional support from the office. For the leadership of this renewed body, we are looking for a committed individual as the presidency of the leadership team (approx. 30%).

Presidency of the SRG German-speaking Switzerland Audience Council
This is your contribution
As presidency, you lead a leadership team of four members and bear responsibility for the strategy, management, and external impact of the Audience Council. Your main tasks are:
- Chairing the leadership team as well as responsibility for annual planning, prioritisation, and resource management
- Professional leadership of the office, management of the annual dialogue window with SRF, and reporting to the regional council
- Networking and representation of the Audience Council towards member societies, SRG.D bodies, and external stakeholders
- Representation of the German-speaking Swiss audience interests at the national level, ex officio membership in the regional committee, and co-responsibility for the election of the Ombudsman office
This is what inspires us
- Independent and integrous personality without current or in the last two years ended employment or mandates at SRF or SRG SSR and without relevant conflicts of interest; ability to assess matters independently and represent them publicly
- Proven leadership and committee experience as well as the ability to reconcile different interests and develop viable solutions; experience in militia, association, club, or non-profit structures is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of the Swiss media market and the public service mandate as well as interest in societal and media-political issues; experience in public-law or civil society contexts is desirable.
- Strong communication and representation skills in dealing with different stakeholders; capacity for around 530 hours per year (approx. 11 hours per week), including evening appointments and short-notice assignments; German at C2 level, another national language is an advantage.
