Principal 80 - 100%The Kantonsschule Aussersihl (KAS) originates from the Hohlstrasse branch of the Kantonsschule Wiedikon, established since the 2024/25 school year. It will be founded as an independent secondary school in the 2027/28 school year. During this exciting phase of establishment and development, there is an opportunity to actively shape the cultural, organisational, and educational identity of a new Zurich cantonal school. We are advertising the position of Principal for the Kantonsschule Aussersihl starting 1 March 2027.
Your tasks
You will assume overall pedagogical, personnel, and organisational leadership of the Kantonsschule Aussersihl and play a decisive role in its development during the establishment phase.
• Strategic, pedagogical, and operational leadership of the school
• Leadership and promotion of the school management, teachers, and staff
• Further development of teaching quality and school culture
• Responsibility for personnel, financial, and resource planning
• Collaboration with cantonal authorities and other stakeholders
• Taking on a teaching load
Your profile
You have a university degree, a teaching diploma for grammar schools, many years of teaching experience at the gymnasium level, and extensive leadership experience in the education sector. You think strategically, communicate persuasively, and embrace change with enthusiasm and conviction.
