Lecturer for Cello (10-30%)
University of Music Basel FHNW, Classical
Your tasks:
- You teach the major and compulsory subject Cello in the BA and MA School Music as well as Music and Movement study programmes
- If required, you optionally teach in team-teaching in the main subject classes across all study programmes
- Of particular importance in teaching is the conveyance of solid technique and artistic expression on the instrument
- You are involved as an examiner or internal expert in examinations
- You engage in the development of teaching as well as in internal institute committees
- You participate in the design of projects in collaboration with partners on the campus of the Music Academy Basel and with external institutions, thereby contributing to the further development of the University of Music Basel FHNW
Your profile:
- You have a completed degree in Cello (Master in Music Education) as well as an additional qualification such as a Master in Musical Performance or an equivalent supplementary qualification
- You are an experienced, communicative teaching personality with great artistic charisma
- You are familiar with the interface between music studies and the professional world, especially in pedagogical professional fields
- You have experience teaching at university level as well as in talent promotion
- Teaching experience at university level, some flexibility in timetable design, and a good command of the German language complete your profile
