About the job
Distance & Engagement
Günther Vogt and his team of landscape architects pursue their research with great passion and dedicate themselves intensively to the search for ideas to shape unplanned places and landscape spaces. They do not rely solely on knowledge from books. Rather, they go out into the landscape themselves at different times of day and year and engage attentively with what they perceive there. In their investigations, they combine art and science and use the same tools to realise their designs.
Most of their "excursions" arise from a curiosity sparked by something seen, heard, or read. Against this background, they explore, among other things, fortifications in France, the Upper Rhine in Switzerland, and national parks in England. The results of these "excursions", research work, and practical implementations are collected in this publication.
"Distance and Engagement" builds on "Miniature and Panorama" and shows not only what Günther Vogt is working on but above all how he works.
