Our client is an established, owner-managed "freight forwarding boutique" based in Basel. For many years, the company has stood for customised transport and logistics solutions with a focus on the international transport of new vehicles. The demanding clientele includes, among others, companies, car dealers, private individuals and collectors.
The focus of the business activity is on the organisation and execution of complex transports. From collection abroad through shipping and customs clearance to on-time delivery in Switzerland. Various transport solutions such as container or RoRo shipments as well as individual special solutions are offered.
In the course of the imminent departure of a long-standing employee, we are looking for a committed and entrepreneurial-minded person who enjoys a versatile role in a small, well-rehearsed team with short decision-making paths.

Financial Accountant 60 - 70% - others move cars. You move the numbers behind them.
Your tasks:- Responsibility for financial accounting including accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as participation in payment transactions
- Posting and reconciliation of bank accounts including analysis and clarification of discrepancies
- Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Recording and posting of expense reports as well as cash transactions in CHF and EUR
- Preparation, review and processing of outgoing invoices as well as general invoicing
- Independent correspondence with customers, suppliers and business partners in German and English
- Completed commercial basic training as well as several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
- Sound expertise in finance and accounting as well as proven balance sheet proficiency
- Confident German as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
- Proficient use of common MS Office applications, especially Excel
- You convince through an independent, structured and proactive way of working as well as a professional appearance and a pronounced service and customer orientation
- You desire a long-term perspective in a stable working environment and are ideally in a life phase between 35 and 50 years
