YOUR TASKS
As a Senior System Administrator, you take on the technical responsibility for our business-critical IT infrastructure and, together with your team, ensure a stable, secure, and highly available operation.
With your broad infrastructure know-how, you keep an eye on the interplay of compute, storage, network, and security at all times. You rely on your experience, work independently, and actively drive the continuous development of our platforms.
- Operation, maintenance, and further development of a virtualised infrastructure with over 300 servers in multiple data centres
- Responsibility for the NetApp/ONTAP storage landscape including capacity, performance, and lifecycle management
- Administration and optimisation of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi as well as the VDI environment VMware Horizon / Omnissa
- Ensuring the connection of storage and server systems to network and firewall infrastructures
- Operation and further development of monitoring with Zabbix as well as proactive capacity and performance planning
- Execution of patch, release, certificate, backup, and disaster recovery management
- Ensuring compliance with change, incident, and access management processes as well as maintenance of operational documentation, runbooks, and CMDB entries
- Participation in infrastructure projects as well as continuous improvement of stability, security, and automation
- Participation in on-call and standby duty
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed training or degree in computer science, system engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in operating complex virtualised infrastructure and storage environments
- Sound knowledge of NetApp ONTAP, VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi as well as VMware Horizon / Omnissa
- Very good Linux skills as well as experience in Windows server operation
- Experience with monitoring solutions, especially Zabbix; knowledge of CheckMK is an advantage
- Good knowledge in the areas of network, firewall, and data centre infrastructures
- Experience in regulated and audited environments (e.g. FINMA, ISAE 3402, ISO 27001 or PCI DSS) is an advantage
- Knowledge in scripting and automation, for example with Bash, PowerShell or Ansible, is desirable
- Independent, responsible, and team-oriented working style with high documentation discipline
- Very good English skills (C1) as well as German skills at least at B2 level
- Clean criminal and debt register
