About the job
The Stiftung Leben im Alter Herisau is home to over 250 elderly people. At the three locations Heinrichsbad, Ebnet, and Dreilinden, around 260 employees shape everyday life in our houses. They ensure a high quality of life for the residents and thus make a valuable contribution to society. Cafeteria Staff 40-60%
We are looking for, starting immediately until approximately the end of March 2026, a:
Your demanding and varied tasks:
- Professional and independent meal service for our residents
- Competent advice and support in menu selection considering the various needs
- Responsibility for the assigned dining hall
- Proper preparation and follow-up of the mise en place for all three main meals
- Performing general cleaning tasks in the dining hall and station kitchen, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment and materials
- Ensuring hygiene in accordance with legal regulations and internal company concepts (HACCP)
- Adhering to the QM system in your own area
You bring the following:
- You have completed training in gastronomy and/or hotel management
- You have professional experience in refined service
- You have good manners and a high understanding of elderly and ill people
- You are a host/hostess with heart and soul
- You are a reliable, flexible, and resilient team player
- You have an independent and conscientious working style and like to share your knowledge with your team
- You are willing to work regular weekend and holiday shifts
- You are able to work with hourly room rates
- You have good German language skills in speaking and writing (at least B2) and understand Swiss German
