About the job
Geriatrics at the Baden Cantonal Hospital is an A-level training centre specialising in geriatrics and part of the Department of Internal Medicine. Each year, we treat over 800 patients in geriatric acute rehabilitation as inpatients, assess around 300 patients in the interdisciplinary memory clinic, and advise more than 300 patients on an outpatient basis in the frailty clinic. Since 2026, we have also expanded our services within the framework of a pilot project to include geriatric co-management around visceral surgical procedures. To strengthen our acute geriatric ward, we are looking for an assistant physician to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks
- You will care for and treat our geriatric patients holistically, taking into account their individual needs and complex medical conditions.
- You will conduct internal medicine and geriatric assessments and accompany patients throughout their entire inpatient stay.
- You will work closely with various professional groups in the interprofessional treatment team and actively contribute your observations and professional assessments.
- You will participate in handovers, ward rounds, and further training, deepening your knowledge in internal medicine and geriatrics.
- You will be involved in planning and coordinating discharge as well as further medical and therapeutic care.
Your profile
- You have completed medical studies and hold a Swiss medical diploma or an equivalent recognition.
- You are interested in internal medicine and geriatrics and wish to further develop your clinical skills in caring for older and multimorbid patients.
- You work responsibly and independently and value close collaboration within the interprofessional team.
- You approach older people with empathy, patience, and respect.
- You have good German language skills, both spoken and written.
