Our sustainability strategy
Photovoltaics
On the flat roof of our sports hall, there are 328 solar modules covering an area of 397m2. Each year, we produce an impressive 76,700 kWh of electricity, which we not only use ourselves but also feed into the public grid.
Wood chip heating
We operate two wood chip heating systems and can heat all buildings on our home site with them. For fuel, we use, among other things, wood residues pressed into briquettes from our carpentry workshop. With an annual energy requirement of 2,000,000 kWh, we save 180,000 – 200,000 litres of oil and replace approximately 9,000 tonnes of CO2.
