The municipality of Visp is looking for the following from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement:

Construction & Planning Specialist / Deputy Department Head 60% (m/f/d)

This versatile position combines project work and spatial development with tasks in building administration. You will work closely with the department head, actively participate in local, spatial and traffic planning as well as in strategic projects of the municipality.

Your tasks

• Participation in local, spatial and traffic planning as well as municipal projects
• Independent management of projects for municipal development
• Coordination and control of external planning offices and specialist planners
• Support of study commissions, competitions and planning procedures
• Professional support and collaboration in building administration, especially in design, local development and planning issues
• Member of the commission "Building, Traffic & Spatial Planning"

Our expectations

• Training or degree in construction and planning (e.g. architecture, spatial planning or comparable qualification)
• Experience in project management, planning or construction
• Interest in spatial, urban or strategic issues
• Independent, structured and responsible way of working
• Initiative, future-oriented personality with enthusiasm for change as well as active participation and further development of the department. You work independently and responsibly, appreciate teamwork and bring openness to modern and digital working methods
