For our organic nursery, we are looking for a new

Gardener specialising in Plant Production EFZ 60-70%
with pedagogical skills

Together with the team, you support and promote young people with cognitive impairments.

The nursery is one of eight training and production facilities of the Bühl Foundation; it is both a training and production facility.

The nursery is certified with the Bio Suisse label (Bio-Knospe). It cultivates vegetable and cut flower seedlings, bedding and balcony plants, herbs, vegetables, and perennials. The training offer includes around 4 training places at the level of basic education with a federal certificate (EBA) and practitioner according to INSOS (PrA). Additionally, the nursery offers sheltered workplaces for adults with performance limitations. Pupils who complete the Foundation’s Track 2 programme also regularly work in the business two days a week.

Your tasks

• Production and cultivation management of vegetable seedlings
• Guiding apprentices/clients
  
• Responsibility for cultivation planning / vegetable seedlings
• Organising workflows
• Co-responsible for assortment design
• Pedagogical support of learners who require an adapted training place.
• Customer advice and independent customer care
• Co-designing and further developing our organic nursery
  

Your qualifications

• Completed basic training as a gardener specialising in plant production EFZ and interest in vegetable growing
• Completed vocational trainer course is an advantage or willingness to complete it
  
• Training as a work pedagogue desired
• Enjoyment of the profession as well as appropriate handling of young people with special behaviours/needs
• Corresponding professional and social competence
• Creativity, flexibility, reliability and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to work weekend shifts
• Driving licence category BE is an advantage
