Cashier – Hourly contract for a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension on a fixed-term contract

Introduction

Join the dynamic team of Casino du Lac Meyrin SA as a Cashier.

In this role, you will be responsible for all cash operations, ensuring strict compliance with internal procedures, legal requirements, particularly regarding anti-money laundering (AML), as well as current security standards.

You will also contribute to providing our customers with a professional, courteous and personalised welcome, while guaranteeing reliable, rigorous and confidential service.

The position is offered on an hourly contract basis for a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension on a fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

As a Cashier, your main duties will be:

• Handling cash and exchange operations (payment of winnings, purchase/sale of chips, foreign currencies, TITO, credit cards).
• Verifying the authenticity of banknotes and coins, and ensuring clear counting.
• Applying the procedures of the Anti-Money Laundering Act (identification, recording of clients and transactions), while providing a professional welcome and continuous observation of customers, and reporting any unusual behaviour or acts to the Management Committee Members and the AML Officer.
• Strictly applying security rules and professional discretion.
• Ensuring compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

• Experience in a cashier position, ideally in a regulated environment.
• Good knowledge of financial procedures and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Rigour, integrity and team spirit.
• Customer service orientation and excellent presentation.
• Fluency in French; English is an asset.

Conditions of employment:

A clean criminal record and a clean extract from the debt collection office/Bank of France certificate (for cross-border workers).
